Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Clucky ("the app") is a loud alarm clock made by Adrian Angelo Abelarde ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app and tryclucky.com handle and where it goes. The short version: your alarms stay on your device, Flock uses Apple or a guest profile, and we never sell your data.
1. Data that stays on your device
The following never leaves your iPhone:
- Alarms and wake records. Alarm times, repeat days, chosen missions, sounds, and your wake-up history are stored locally on your device.
- Onboarding answers. Your quiz answers (morning-person, age range, wake times, goals, chosen challenge) are used to set up your first alarm and are stored locally.
- Camera. Camera missions (for example "find something blue") are verified on-device using Apple's Vision and Foundation Models frameworks. Photos and camera frames are processed in real time and are not stored, and are never uploaded anywhere.
- Motion. Shake and walk missions read motion and step data on-device only.
Deleting the app deletes all of this data.
2. Data that leaves your device
- Purchases (RevenueCat). When you view the paywall or subscribe, Apple processes the payment and RevenueCat, our subscription provider, receives purchase receipts, transaction identifiers, and an anonymous app-generated user ID to manage your entitlement. We never see your payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Analytics (PostHog). We collect anonymous usage events (for example which onboarding step was viewed, that an alarm was created, that a purchase started) along with basic device and browser properties. On tryclucky.com, PostHog also records masked session replays, clicks, page navigation, console diagnostics, and network timing so we can understand and fix problems with the website. Form inputs, including your email address, are masked from recordings. We do not send PostHog your contacts, photos, or the contents of your alarms.
- Launch notifications (Resend). If you ask to be notified when Clucky launches, we send the email address you enter to Resend, our email provider. We use it only for the confirmation message and Clucky launch updates. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time.
- Apple. The App Store handles billing, subscription management, and standard app diagnostics per your iOS settings.
- Flock (Supabase). If you use alarm groups, we store a Supabase user identifier, your chosen display name, flock membership, wake check-ins, crow nudges, and an APNs device token in a Supabase project in Tokyo. If you choose Apple, we also store the Apple user identifier returned for Clucky. Guest profiles use an anonymous Supabase identifier instead. We do not collect an email address or password.
For App Store privacy-label purposes, these categories are reported as Name, User ID, Device ID, Purchase History, Product Interaction, and Other Usage Data. They are treated as linked to you, used only for app functionality and analytics as described above, and are not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
3. What we do not do
- No email or password accounts. Flock lets you choose Apple or a guest profile. Guest access cannot be recovered after sign-out or reinstall.
- No advertising SDKs and no ad tracking.
- No selling or renting of personal data, to anyone, ever.
- No photos or camera data ever leave the device.
4. Subscriptions
Clucky Pro is an auto-renewable subscription billed by Apple. Manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store account settings. Trials convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
5. Your choices and rights
- Delete the app to erase all on-device data.
- In Settings, Delete account removes your Flock profile, membership, check-ins, and device token. Local alarms stay on the phone.
- To request deletion of analytics or purchase records associated with your anonymous ID, or for any privacy question, email abelardeadrianangelo@gmail.com.
- Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information; contact us and we will honor them.
6. Children
Clucky is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Changes
We will update this policy as the app evolves and change the date above. Material changes will be noted in the app or release notes.
